A gift to the Foundation provides a lasting release of love into the World!
OUR STRUCTURE
An endowment fund is maintained to provide income in perpetuity or for a designated term. The principal is invested and, unless otherwise specified by the terms of the gift, only the income may be spent.
OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is to establish procedures for the procurement, management, and disposition of funds or other properties, which are contributed to the Foundation through various ways including, but not limited to:
1. Bequests by will
2. Charitable remainder trusts
3. Life income gifts
4. Assignment of life insurance
5. Stocks and bonds
6. Transfers of property
7. Grants and/or funds solicited from other agencies
8. Cash gifts
9. Memorial donations in honor of a person or organization
All such gifts will be administered in accordance with the Fresno Wesley Foundation Charter and the Foundation Investment Guidelines. Where possible, the Foundation practices socially responsible investing.
FUNDS RECEIVED
Funds will be placed in one of the following:
1. Unrestricted Endowment
2. Property Endowment
3. Bolivia Endowment
4. Music Endowment
5. Youth Endowment
Undesignated gifts to the Foundation will be placed in the Unrestricted Endowment Fund. Between 2003 and 2008 the Foundation awarded grants totaling more than $30,000.00.
Applications for grants from the Wesley Foundation may be made to the Foundation Board between February 1 and March 31. Grants must be postmarked by March 31st. Grant applications will only be received by mail. Applications are reviewed by the board. Grants are awarded by June 1, based on a project's intent to fulfill the Foundation's mission of Christian stewardship and ministry, and the Foundation's available resources. 2010 Grant intructions and applications are available in the church office or you can print by clicking on the link below.
Donations to the Foundation are fully tax deductible.

Mission Statement
Wesley United Methodist Church, though the Foundation, seeks to be part of Christ's family bound together in our concern for each other, our community, and for the peoples of the world.
As our mission, we wish to encourage the Christian stewardship of accumulated, inherited, and appreciated resources. It is understood that special gifts and bequests should not take the place of faithful stewardship of current income to Wesley. Gifts made to the Foundation shall contribute to the release of Christian love into the world.
