Reconciling MinistriesMinistries for LGBTIQ persons![]() Wesley Celebrates 25 Years as a Reconciling Congregation!
LGBTIQ persons are included in all the ministries of our congregation, from womens' & mens' groups, to choir, to mission & outreach groups. Wesley has three ministries focused specifically around LGBTIQ persons.
Wesley Celebration is a worship service specifically geared towards LGBTIQ persons and their allies, especially those who may have been rejected or hurt by other churches. Wesley Celebration offers live music, relevant teachings, free childcare, and so much more! Wesley Celebration meets the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month in John Wesley Hall. For more information on Wesley Celebration, visit their website, or email Christa Lisbon.
![]() Wesley Pride is a fellowship group for LGBTIQ persons that seeks to be a place of hospitable welcome for newcomers to Wesley, as well as a place for long-time Wesley members to connect. This group meets monthly for a potluck dinner, usually on the first Saturday of the month. Meetings alternate between Wesley's Fireside Room and members' homes. For more information on Wesley Pride, email James Michlich.
The Reconciling Team is a group of people that work to help our congregation keep exploring and celebrating what it means to be a reconciling congregation. Out of this group new LGBTIQ ministries often emerge. This group works to plan a "Reconciling Weekend" each year in the spring, with special programs and speakers. To learn more about The Reconciling Team, email Christa Lisbon. |
